Position Summary
Under minimal supervision, performs basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. May be multi-credentialed in the area of sonography. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum Requirements
- Certifications Registry Eligible and Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography School or Ultrasonography program.
- Experience: Six (6) months of performing diagnostic medical Sonography OR clinical experience in ultrasound gained during completion of an accredited Ultrasonography school/program.
- Preferred Requirements
- Certifications: ARDMS- RDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)
- Education : Sufficient education to gain RDMS certification.
- Experience One (1) year experience as an Ultra sonographer.
