POSITION SUMMARY

Assists the Medical Staff Manager and Director of Medical Staff services with day-to-day operations as it pertains to the various Co-Management Projects by performing confidential secretarial and executive duties. Maintains excellent organizational and communication skills in dealing with physicians, patients, the public and members of the hospital staff where assertive but tactful demeanor is required. Maintains confidential files of correspondence and statistical reports and documents relative to the operation of the hospital. . Coordinates, assists and attends, when necessary, co-management meetings, takes notes and prepares them for review. Assists the Medical Staff Manager with duties within the department, including assisting with the Credentials process and meetings. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

Minimum:  High School graduate or equivalent

Preferred:  Associate's Degree

Minimum Experience

  • Previous Administrative Assistant experience.
  • Previous Healthcare experience.
  • Medical staff services experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Subject to normal working conditions.  Mostly sedentary work.  Occasional prolonged standing/walking.  Manual dexterity and mobility.  Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
