Up to $20,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience

Position Summary:

The Multi-Modality Technologist under minimal supervision, performs complex diagnostic imaging procedures in at least two modalities, as requested by a licensed physician. Maintains proficiency in each registered modality. Produces high quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Provides radiologist with pertinent clinical information. Demonstrates complete working knowledge of the modalities and related equipment. Performs routine protocols and positions patients correctly using appropriate technical skills, Participates in the quality, process and performance improvement initiatives as requested. Performs timely documentation in radiology computer systems. Meets departmental performance expectations and Customer Service Standards of Excellence.

Responsible for complying with all policies and procedures that pertains to HIPAA including the minimum necessary requirements for disclosing and accessing patient information.  As a part of the requirements for this position, the employee has access to the entire medical record for the purpose of providing clinical support to the direct and indirect medical/nursing/technical caregivers that provide care/service to patients in the Imaging departments.

  • Limits the protected health information (PHI) disclosed or requested to the amount reasonable necessary to achieve the purpose of the request. The disclosures or requests that occur on a routine basis include: patient demographics, patient clinical histories, assessments, and diagnostic reports.
  • Makes disclosures for the purpose of appropriate patient care and post visit follow-up, and of meeting local and state requirements for reporting.
  • Criteria established to limit the PHI disclosures/requests to that which is reasonable necessary includes communicating only the PHI that is required by law, upon request, and for the correct/intended purpose of providing patient care and notification to physicians, local/state authorities and/ or regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program, with another radiologic modality or registry eligible.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree

EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years clinical experience in more than one modality preferred.
  • Preferred: ARRT RT(R) with another registry certification. 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION

  • Required:  ARRT (R) and documentation of CT or MRI experience, must obtain advance credential in CT or MRI within one year of hire. BLS; State license
