Position Summary
The ARNP is an advanced practice nurse who works collaboratively with the Orthopedic surgeon(s), providing clinical management in the diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of pediatric patients across the continuum of care, utilizing critical thinking skills in the provision of safe and high quality care. This ARNP also works collaboratively with the orthopedic program/surgeons across the age continuum.
Responsibilities- Assesses, diagnoses, and treats the physical, psychosocial, educational and growth and development needs of the patient.
- Coordinates/Communicates/Educates Patient/Family
- Provides safe and efficient patient care delivery throughout the perioperative phase.
- Coordinates the multidisciplinary team in the care of the pediatric patient.
- Demonstrates Leadership Skills
Education:
- Required: Masters of Science in Nursing
Experience:
- 2-3 yrs Orthopedic experience, and a minimum total of 5 years of Nursing experience
License:
- Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, and FNP
Certifications:
- BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
- ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
- PALS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) Within 60 days of hire
