- Assesses respiratory status and needs of the patient.
- Sets up and maintains respiratory equipment per policy.
- Administers respiratory therapy procedures, understanding the purpose and possible side effects associated with each.
- Evaluates patient’s response to interventions.
- Demonstrates leadership skills.
Full Time, Days
Up to $10,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.
Position Summary
The Perinatal Therapist performs critical and non-critical respiratory care procedures and diagnostics through both physician directives and respiratory care protocols. He/she performs selected cross training activities and precepting of students and new staff as directed. He/she performs external transport of critical care neonates as assigned.
Education
- Graduate of Allied Health Program
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience
License
- RRT-REGISTERED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST (NBRC) OR CERT RESPIRATORY THERAPY TECHNICIAN (Florida)
Certifications
- BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
- NRP (AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS)
- ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
- STABLE PROGRAM
