Up to $10,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience

Summary

Performs all duties of a Lab Assistant. In addition, procures an above average number of patient specimens, instructs phlebotomy/office trainees, inventories and maintains, phlebotomy and office supplies, and exhibits above average initiative and cooperation. Efficiently performs computer functions assigned to a Lab Assistant security level; competently performs downtime procedures. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

High school diploma or it equivalent (GED) Certification from one of the following: ASCPT, NCAP, or Hospital School of Phlebotomy certificate

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months to less than 1 year.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Frequently required to lift 5-40 lbs.
  • Occasionally may lift greater than 40 lbs. with assistance of staff member and /or approved lifting device
  • Frequently required to operate standard office machines, computers and telephone
  • Frequently required to walk, bend, push, pull and stand.
  • Required to have adequate vision and hearing
