Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities
- Reports to work in proper uniform or attire
- Leaves for meal break on time and returns on time
- Varies work schedule to meet the needs of the department
- Ensures all overtime had been approved by the department head prior to working
- Schedules all time off with supervisors’ approvals
- Strictly adheres to hospital attendance/tardiness policies 100% of the time
- Wear I.D. badge in visible location at all times on hospital property
Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for information communicated at meetings
Adheres to Corporate, Regional, Hospital and departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time.
- Reads and comprehends the company’s standards of Conduct. During the past evaluation period, has demonstrated compliance with the company’s Ethics program.
- Has participated in one hour Standards of Conduct training within the last 12 months
- Understands that compliance with Corporate Integrity Program is condition of employment and violation of any principals or practices if the program will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
Assists all patients, family members, physicians, visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner.

EDUCATION:

Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent, and
Current enrollment or recent completion in a Radiology Program

EXPERIENCE:

Previous healthcare experience preferred

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENUSRE/REGISTRATION:

American Heart Association BLS

Position Summary:

This is a Temporary Position. A Radiology Extern is responsible and accountable for cleaning and setting up equipment and assisting technologists and other healthcare workers in order to provide quality patient care and services. Organize work assignments, conduct-imaging room set up, patient verification, explain procedures to patients; help in patient transfers from and to beds, and wheelchairs. Maintain the supplies room, set up exam rooms, and accurately position patients on applicable equipment for exams. Ensure patient comfort; engage patients and coworkers in ethical conduct, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
