Job Summary
Per Diem, Rotate
This is a Temporary Position. The Therapy Extern is a skilled technical worker who assists the licensed practitioner, or therapist, in performing patient related activities in order to produce effective outcomes. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining supplies and equipment for therapeutic use. Carrying out, at the direction of the licensed practitioner, specific routine aspects of treatment preparation, delivery, or clean up that do not require the clinical skill of the practitioner to perform. Participates in performance improvement and program growth including data entry.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates responsibility for the delivery of patient care
- Demonstrates ability in communication and judgment skills as outlined in the Standards of Conduct:
- Responsible for department maintenance
- Demonstrates the ability to plan and manage time.
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations
- Demonstrates compliance with all policies and procedures for this position that pertain to HIPAA
- Adheres to the following environmental care standards.
- Adheres to Corporate, Regional, hospital and departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time
Qualifications
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent, and Current enrollment or recent completion of PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or ST program
Experience:
- Previous healthcare experience preferred

Certifications:
- BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
