Job SummaryThe Mental Health Assistant, under the direction of the RN, is responsible and accountable for performing specific skills and duties which contribute to safe and effective nursing care.
Responsibilities- Will perform direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Incorporate unit specific policies, procedures and protocols in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills and maintains current competency in those waive testing procedures required by department.
- Performs related duties as needed.
- Required:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensure/Certification: Heartsaver/ AED required
- Preferred:
- Experience: Minimum one year experience as inpatient nurses assistant/orderly preferred
