Job Summary

Supervises and directs the activities of the Respiratory Care Department under the direction of the Director and the Medical Director. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Monitors the annual department operating and capital budgets; 
  • supervises daily operations of assigned departments; supervises staff; 
  • takes appropriate actions regarding counseling, disciplinary actions, demotion and termination; 
  • performs quality control on all respiratory equipment; 
  • assists in training/orientation of students or new employees.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required

  • Education: Graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program.      associate in respiratory care or health science
  • Experience: 2 years of respiratory care
  • Certifications / License: 
    • RCP or equivalent State licensure; 
    • RRT
    • ACLS
    • PALS
    • NRP

Preferred 

  • Education: Bachelor's in Health Care Management 
  • Experience: 1 year of supervisory experience
