Summary:
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, conducts a variety of complex financial studies to analyze, evaluate and present findings regarding existing and proposed programs and services related to supply chain. Coordinates financial analyses, forecasts, and projections to evaluate cost containment initiatives, contract negotiations, and the budgeting of future revenue and expenses.
Develops and proposes alternative solutions or strategies on a wide variety of fiscal issues. Provides support as needed, to Materials Resource Management reviewing, and analyzing supply chain costs for the organization. Prepares and may coordinate the work for others in financial variance analyses and status reports for the operating and capital budgets for assigned locations.
Assignments require highly complex analysis and broad communication. Develops various supply chain performance reports, summarizes and distributes results to hospital finance and other executives.
Develops, maintains and enhances automated management information systems to provide timely and accurate processing, retention and reporting of various types of data. Monitor systems operation to ensure operational efficiency.
Performs a variety of analysis as directed, and develops a wide range of system applications for the improvement of departmental operations. Provides input on standardizing departmental policies and procedures. Assumes responsibility for a wide range of systems and application projects such as standardization or enhancements to present systems, processes, or introduction of new system, or process to department.
Designs and Prepares various supply chain reports by hospital department, GL, supplies, etc Develops proposals for new or revised procedures to improve and enhance operational effectiveness including design, cost, mode of implementation, and interfacing of new and existing operations. Participates in activities to increase work related knowledge, professional expertise, and the delivery of quality systems development and financial analysis services. Requests and utilizes interdepartmental services as they pertain to the provision of systems development services; establishes and maintains working relationships with all department personnel relative to systems development financial analysis function.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Five or more years of progressively more responsible experience in accounting, financial analysis, cost accounting, supply chain, or third party reimbursement preferably in a healthcare environment.
