General Mechanic Full Time Days Position Summary:
- The Maintenance Mechanic will perform daily repairs and preventative maintenance on all applicable facility healthcare equipment concerning the overall safety, appearance and operation of the hospital facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times.
- Mechanic will primarily take part in painting, light carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC/R, med gas and fire alarm monitoring.
- May also perform other maintenance related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
THE GENERAL MECHANIC WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
- Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D. Some college or vocational training preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable with various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC certification a plus.
- 2 to 5 years of job related experience required with 5 + years preferred, especially in a healthcare facility
- Must have knowledge of safety regulations
- Must have a can do attitude and be a team player with the ability to work over-time as necessary and on any shift.
- Must have a reliable source of transportation and valid driver’s license
