Radiology Procedure Scheduler Full Time Days Position Summary

Under general supervision, responsible and accountable for key activities associated with the Department of Radiology scheduling system for multiple locations including bur limited to MRI, CT, PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiovascular, Vascular Lab, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, Fluoroscopy, and Dietary. Schedule exams and procedures, processes paperwork for all outpatient and in-patient exams, assists staff and patients, provides directions, and answers a multi-line phone system . In addition, coordinates requests and resources to optimize efficiency of testing sequence and resource utilization, provide requesting person information as to start of exam or procedure. Performs other related functions as required. This position is ideal for a candidate that will thrive in a fast pace, multi-task environment.

THE RADIOLOGY PROCEDURE SCHEDULER FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education/Other Qualifications:

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or professional training preferred. Medical terminology preferred.

Minimum Experience: Up to 1 year of job-related experience is required, 1 to 2 years is preferred. Ability to deal effectively with the public in giving and receiving information and referring callers. Considerable knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of radiologic procedures helpful. Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions. Typing and computer skills required.
