Robotics Coordinator Operating Room Full Time Days Position Summary:
Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Provides aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for the procedures by pulling and checking case carts for accuracy. Ensures all instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and functioning properly. Works collaboratively with the health care team, is customer focused and strives to meet unit and hospital goals. Must be willing/able to float to all surgical service lines within the operating room. Assists anesthesiologist when blocks are required for surgery. Participates in department staff meetings and performance improvement activities and performs other related duties as directed. Provides quality care according to established practice standards and guidelines for the area(s) assigned. Under the direct supervision of the surgeon performs assistant tasks during intra-operative procedures.
THE ROBOTICS COORDINATOR OPERATING ROOM FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education/Other Qualifications:
Must have attended an accredited course of study for first assistant and must possess state certification. Surgical assisting education program; foreign-medical school; or surgical technology education program with additional training; or surgical technology education program followed by work experience and separate surgical assisting education program is required.
Minimum Experience:
· Three years of current operating room, scrub, and/or assisting experience within the last five years is required.
· Knowledge of surgical terminology, equipment, materials, and policies/procedures (sterile protocol/OR attire), and the fundamental methods relating to surgery
· Demonstrates basic knowledge of data collection, research protocols, etc.
· Knowledge of surgical procedures
· Urology
· Gynecology
· Cardiac Surgery
· General Surgery
· Demonstrated leadership ability and collaborative skills
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
· Registered Nurse (CNOR/CRNFA), Certified Surgical First Assistant-either AST or NCCT or Biomedical Engineer/Technician
· Robotic Surgery experience
· MIS experience
· American Heart Association BLS required.
