Surgical Tech Coordinator Full Time Days Position Summary
Demonstrates expertise and knowledge in area of expertise. Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and patient for each procedure. Demonstrates knowledge, etiology, and description of detailed procedures and correlating instrumentation involved with specific surgical procedures. Stays current with new techniques and mentors the staff. Scrubs in cases to assist the surgeon and to mentor new staff to these procedures. Assures that all equipment is available and in working order. Manages the equipment and inventory and is responsible for organizing the cases on a daily basis. Orders supplies as needed to maintain the necessary inventory for each case. Works with management to coordinate cases and staff.
THE SURGICAL TECH COORDINATOR FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education/Other Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Some college or vocational training required.
Minimum Experience: Up to 3 years of job-related experience is preferred.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: Certified Surgical Technology recognized by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or NCCT for any new hire is required. Current non-certified Surgical Technologist Piedmont Medical Center employees are encouraged to acquire this certification. American Heart Association BLS required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
