Bariatric Program Manager FT Days Position Summary
The Bariatric Program Manager is responsible for oversight and coordination of the surgical weight loss program at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus. The scope of this role includes overseeing preoperative patient education, scheduling all support group meetings, and the coordination of multidisciplinary speakers and topics. Primary responsibilities include growing individual facility volumes, providing coordinated best practices among facilities, and to serve as the primary point of contact for physicians, executive teams, practices and community stakeholders. He/she will work with marketing staff to develop marketing plans for each clinical location and act as the liaison between micro-hospitals, full-service hospitals, clinics, staff, and patients to ensure a collaborative approach to patients' experience and needs. The Bariatric Program Manager builds, maintains, and oversees the performance dashboard development and reporting for all access points in the market in addition to overseeing the O1 program; maintaining and updating required clinic care pathways. The individual in this position will work collaboratively with operations leaders to ensure all providers and access point leaders are engaged and executing industry best practices. This person will establish and execute effective initiatives, plans and tactics for programs, physician integration and engagement, and resource utilization with the objective of increasing growth, quality, efficiency, physician satisfaction and patient experience. He/she leverages system scale and capability to achieve success. He/she will represent the health system at community events, physician leadership meetings and other forums.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Licensed healthcare professional in the state of Arizona (RDN, RN, APP)
- Must possess the ability to work well interpersonally with other staff members and to interact with Medical Director.
- Must possess a clinical knowledge in care of surgery patients and extensive knowledge of all bariatric surgery.
- Possesses knowledge of current trends in patient care and health care delivery system and is able to oversee all clinical aspects of he pre and post operative care of surgical patients, marketing, and customer service and staff members
- Possesses the physical abilities including heavy lifting and perceptive acuity, e.g. visual, hearing, to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
- Flexibility; willingness to work evenings/weekends as required. Including but not limited to program support group as well as off-site informational seminar. Promote program to include public speaking events as warranted.
SUPERVISES: May supervise support staff.
THE BARIATRIC PROGRAM MANAGER FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Dietetics, Nutritional Science, or Business/Healthcare Administration
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION: Licensed healthcare professional in the state of Arizona (RDN, RN, APP)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years of management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 5 years bariatric service line experience
