Position: Lab Assistant II – Full Time, Days
Location: Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, 67th Ave & W Union Hills Dr, Glendale, AZ
Are you detail-oriented, compassionate, and ready to make an impact in patient care?
At Abrazo Arrowhead, we’re looking for a Lab Assistant II to help ensure accurate, efficient laboratory operations that directly support our patients’ health and well-being.
What You’ll Do
- Receive, register, and distribute specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures with a focus on specimen quality and patient comfort.
- Conduct CLIA-waived lab tests as assigned.
- Confirm patient identity and enter specimen information accurately into the laboratory information system.
- Operate basic office equipment, computer programs and ensure orders are completed appropriately.
- Follow protocols to maintain specimen integrity during collection, transport, receipt and distribution.

Qualifications
Education:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Completion of a phlebotomy program.
Experience:
- Required: One year of laboratory experience and/or completion of formal phlebotomy training.
- Preferred: Experience with laboratory information systems or basic lab computer programs.
Certifications:
- Preferred: National phlebotomy certification (ASCP, ANP, ASPT, or similar).
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to accuracy, safety, and patient care.
