Sterile Processing Tech – Full Time, Evening Shift
Location: Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, 67th Ave & West Union Hills
⏰ Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Position Summary
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our evening team at Abrazo Arrowhead. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring patient safety and supporting our surgical teams by providing clean, sterile instruments and equipment for procedures.

This position works independently with minimal supervision while collaborating closely with OR staff. Responsibilities include:

Monitoring sterilizers and overseeing decontamination/sterile processing areas.

Preparing, assembling, and distributing sterile instruments and equipment.

Maintaining accurate inventory and assisting with departmental scheduling and communication.

Adapting to changes in workflow and ensuring daily deadlines are met.

Note: Call coverage may be required. Candidates must reside within a 30-minute response time to the facility.

What We’re Looking For

Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.

Effective communication skills with both team members and clinical staff.

Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques, instrumentation, and equipment.

Ability to stay organized, prioritize workload, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Completion of a formal Sterile Processing Technician course with field training strongly preferred.

Experience:

At least 1 year of sterile processing, decontamination, or central sterile experience in an acute care hospital preferred.

Certifications:

BLS required.

Certification through IAHCSMM or Certification Board for Central Sterile Processing preferred.
