Medical Staff Services Coordinator Full Time Days Position Summary

Coordinates and assists in the development, planning and operation management of the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professional Personnel enabling them to fulfill their duties and obligations as defined by national regulatory agencies (such as JC) and the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations as delegated by the Hospital Governing Board. Promotes and enhances good communication and positive working relationships between facility Administration and the Medical Staff. This position is onsite at the hospital.

MEDICAL STAFF SERVICES COORDINATOR FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education/Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or High School diploma with equivalent in relevant experience, required
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services Professionals (CPMSM and/or CPCS)
  • Experience:
  • 3 years of Medical Staff Services experience including *credentialing in an acute care setting. Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills. Experience in hospital administration;
  • HR experience is highly preferred
  • Management experience in hospital/health care environment;
  • Proven managerial skills Supervisory experience preferred.
  • CPCS and CPMSM preferred
