Food Service Attendant PRN Rotating Position Summary

• Performs duties in the dietary kitchen, tray line and various areas of the hospital including preparation, service, delivery and stocking of food and beverage.
• Specific duties include:

- Appropriate use of chemicals, service ware, and equipment

- Food prep and tray delivery to rooms

- Stocking, cashiering, and answering phones/order taking

- Use of dishwasher, 3-part sink and breaking down patient trays after use.

• Position requires an extensive amount of walking, standing and squatting.
• Position also includes guest service interaction with patients.
• Under general supervision performs various jobs for patient food preparation.

THE FOOD SERVICE ATTENDANT PRN ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Required Education: High School Graduate or equivalent

Preferred Experience: 1 year experience in healthcare environment.

Required Certification: Food Handler certification based on city or state requirements.
