The Manager of Analytics and planning will support the company-wide business planning process, company-wide service line initiatives, and manage growth analytics and reporting. Provides proactive support to identify, analyze and make recommendations on improvement opportunities.

  • Uses data to analyze market dynamics, trends and competition and implements strategies to meet market demand.
  • Tracks market development strategy and industry trends as appropriate, leading to the generation of innovative ideas to improve current business plan and achieve desired results.
  • Supports and influences others to achieve goals, targets and metrics consistent with strategic and operational objectives.
  • Works in collaboration with market & hospital/department leaders to develop strategic service lines ensuring physician engagement to achieve desired results in quality, service, operations and financial metrics.
  • Helps implement new or expand current service lines, with guidance from Hospital Leadership and Market CSO including management of capital, equipment, people, education, quality metrics and costs.
  • Monitors, understands and assesses service line performance by key performance indicators (volume, outcomes, market share, etc.).
  • Gathers competitive intelligence from the community on service line opportunities.
  • Supports Provider Outreach Program priorities, identifies outreach partners across the care continuum, and develops strategies and metrics while monitoring progress to plan.
  • Plans, organizes and coordinates strategies that support physician relationships and physician manpower plans consistent with market and facility service line plans and community need.
  • Studies internal and external data trends to realize opportunities to better serve the community.  Identifies and surfaces new business opportunities based on research and analysis.
  • Monitors internal group data to understand the driving forces of business variables, and then develops plans for corrective action when/where appropriate.
  • Understands and demonstrates competency utilizing all data available.
  • Assists senior executive team in advancing the market’s short and long term business growth plans while minimizing distractions and complacency
  • Assists in development and implementation of market business strategy &  position (e.g. analyzes market dynamics and market share, tracks product line performance, gathers competitive intelligence)
  • Assesses market and questions current business development strategy as appropriate to lead to generation of innovative ideas to improve current business plan and achieve results
  • Support Market CSO as needed
  • Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

Required: Bachelor’s degree

Preferred: MBA or MHA

Experience:

Required: 3 years experience in Finance or healthcare planning/analytics
