RN Cath Lab Full Time Days Position Summary

• Assist in the preparation of patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed during catheterization procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and responses throughout cardiac catheterization, promptly addressing any changes or complications.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to obtain comprehensive patient medical histories and coordinate pre-procedure assessments.
• Provide patient education and emotional support, ensuring they are informed and comfortable throughout the process.
• Assist in the insertion, manipulation, and removal of catheters under the direction of the physician.
• Document procedure details, patient information, and outcomes accurately in medical records.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, maintaining a sterile environment within the catheterization lab.
• Participate in post-procedure care, including monitoring recovery and addressing any immediate postoperative concerns.
• Stay current with advancements in cardiac catheterization techniques and technologies.

Special Skills: One year experience in cardiac catheterization procedures. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above average pressure. Excellent customer service skills. Must have basic computer skills.
