This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

RN – Endoscopy PRN Rotating | Abrazo Central Campus
Location: 2000 W Bethany Home Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85015
Job Summary:
Abrazo Central Campus is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled PRN Endoscopy Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team. This position provides professional and individualized nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of GI procedures at our centrally located facility at 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Phoenix. The RN will coordinate interdisciplinary care planning and ensure high-quality bedside care throughout the perioperative process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to manage patient care effectively.
- Supervise and delegate to other healthcare team members, using independent judgment.
- Systematically evaluate nursing practice quality and contribute to process improvements.
- Support patient safety and infection control practices.
- Participate in hourly rounding and may be designated as charge nurse when needed.
- Provide care for endoscopy procedures including:
- Colonoscopy
- Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
- Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
- Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
- Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
Schedule Requirements:
- PRN RNs are required to work a minimum of two shifts per month.
- Available shifts for pickup are typically scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- Flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed is appreciated.
Special Skills Required:
- Effective interpersonal communication and strong teamwork abilities.
- Adaptable in a fast-paced clinical environment with the ability to manage high-pressure situations.
- Outstanding customer service and basic computer proficiency.
- Strong preference for candidates with prior Endoscopy experience.
Qualifications – Education, Licensure, and Experience:
- Minimum Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing program
- Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of Endoscopy RN experience
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required upon completion of orientation
