Emergency Medical Tech PRN Rotating Position Summary
The EMT is an essential position accountable for administering basic life support and stabilization procedures to patients at the accident or illness scene, and during transport to medical facilities. It is the expectation that the EMT will exemplify the highest professional standards and continuously fosters an enriching, supportive and dynamic team environment.
THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECH PRN ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education/Other Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Completion of an EMT Program through an accredited Technical School required
- South Carolina EMT certification required
Minimum Experience: At least one year full time experience as a 911 EMS provider preferred.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
- Nationally Registered EMT certification within one year of employment
- AHA BLS required. Must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
- PALS or PEPP within orientation
- NIMS compliant with Incident Command/Incident Management within orientation period
- 100, 200, 700, 800 required within orientation period
- Valid Driver’s License
