Endoscopy Tech PRN Days Position Summary
Assists physician during procedures. Ensures endoscopic suite is adequately prepared for the procedures. Ensures all instruments are cleaned and sterilized and functioning properly. Participates in department staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
Responsibilities
Provides Endoscopy support. Prepares rooms for Endoscopy procedures. Provides general assistance and supportive tasks as directed and direct and indirect patient care in the healthcare care setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and ambulatory care policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about changes in patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
THE ENDOSCOPY TECH PRN DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education/Other Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Some college or vocational training required.
Minimum Experience: Up to 1 to 2 years of job-related experience is preferred.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: Certified Surgical Technology recognized by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or NCCT for any new hire is required. Current non-certified Surgical Technologist Piedmont Medical Center employees are encouraged to acquire this certification. American Heart Association BLS required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
