Laboratory Assistant Il Full Time Nights Position Summary of Responsibilities:

Performs routine technical and clerical functions. Performs venipuncture, specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens
Performs specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens, labels tubes and specimen containers, collects specimens and performs simple tasks under supervision. Performs phlebotomist duties as assigned.

THE LABORATORY ASSISTANT II FULL TIME NIGHTS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Completion of a phlebotomy program

Experience:

Required: Ability to complete blood draws independently within six-weeks of hire
Preferred: 6 months of laboratory experience
