Dietary Manager Full Time Days

POSITION SUMMARY:

Directs day to day operations of the assigned service areas to include overseeing tray line, staff scheduling/evaluations, meal rounds/cart delivery rounds, tray line efficiency and accuracy, staff development, and overall patient satisfaction. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

 Monitors tray line production and retail sales for efficiency and accuracy
 Completes patient meal rounds/cart delivery checks daily
 Monitors the Food and Nutrition Services HOTLINE
 Manages the tray assessment meetings/quality development
 Communicates well with medical, nursing, and other health care team members
 Participates in developing, implementing and monitoring quality improvement activities
 Participates in developing policies and procedures related to providing nutrition care

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: 2-year degree in dietetics or related field of study. May substitute 2 years of experience 
for 1 year of education.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in dietetics or related field of study.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 to 2 years' experience in food service environment. 5 years supervisory experience. 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified Food Manager by the San Antonio Metropolitan Health 
District or ANSI Accredited Food Manager Certificate
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Registration or Registration eligible with the Commission of 
Dietetic Registration of the ADA as a Dietetic Technician, Registered/Registered Dietitian. Certified Dietary 
Manager.
