Responsibilities:
  1. Keeps abreast of current developments in bio-medical equipment and systems as required. 
  2. Oversee the Basic Clinical Equipment Replacement Program 
  3. Member of the Safety Committee and EOC team 
  4. Provide monthly Safety Presentation for General Hospital Orientation

Qualifications

Minimum Education: AA Degree in electronics or related field. 

Minimum Experience/Skills: Five (5) years experience in a hospital environment in the repair and maintenance of medical electronic Instruments. 

Licenses/Certificates/Credentials: Current Biomed Equipment Technician certification 

Physical Demands: Per Job Functional Match Test 

Vision Requirements: Ability to see at 20 inches or less, adjust vision to bring objects into focus, and to distinguish different colors.

Summary

The Senior Bio-Medical Electronic Technician is to function as the primary responsible contact for Biomedical Engineering. Manage the medical equipment maintenance program including equipment repair, maintenance activities, and compliance with regulatory agencies for all departments. Provide on-site control for all aspects to the components of the Medical Equipment Management Program. Participate in the development of departmental and campus wide continuous quality improvement initiatives. Participate in the development of annual goals and objectives related to supporting the goals and development of services in response to the equipment support needs of San Ramon Regional Medical Center. Maximize patient safety by supporting proper use, application, and operational performance of patient care equipment. Act as technical resource to hospital leadership in the selection, repair, and maintenance activities on patient care equipment and related systems.

Pay Range: $47.33 - $73.34 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
