POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within the Critical Care areas and collaborates with other members of the health care team. She/he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by all Critical Care service line staff. She/he assumes house supervision duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS    
    
Education:        Associate Degree, BSN preferred                       
Experience:        2-3 yrs RN experience in Critical Care                     
License         REGISTERED NURSE                      
Certification        

BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)           

PALS                                                                                                                                         

ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN), 

NIH STROKE(within 60 days of hire/transfer effective date)   

TNCC INEXPERIENCED: (WITHIN 2 YEARS OF HIRE OR TRANSFER)
