Position Summary

The Community Relations Liason is responsible for strategically planning and implementing outreach efforts focusing on physicians and referring facilities as well as other potential referral sources through the hospital’s targeted market. This position primarily focuses on developing hospital referral relationships in the service area, with the goal of maximizing referral and redirection opportunities for both inpatient and outpatient services . The Community Relations Liason is responsible for maintaining a target list of facilities and affiliated physicians, an annual marketing plan for this base of business and referral sources, and providing input in the development and implementation of marketing plans for the Rehab service lines. The position is to report on the activity level and outcomes of activities on a regular basis, focusing on increases in volume and/or addressing issues.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor of Science Degree preferably in Marketing, Business or related field
     

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of (3) years experience in provider relations, sales, network development, marketing, healthcare or medical industry
