Qualifications
Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Certifications
Required: Must be currently RN / Registered Nurse State of Florida.
Experience
Minimum 1 year experience in hospital surgery department, research or medical records preferred. Computer and internet experience required. Familiarity with MS Office- Word and Excel required. Database data entry and/or management experience preferred. Basic statistical knowledge preferred. Quality improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience preferred

Position Summary
The Registered Nurse / RN Pediatrics is responsible to collect and submit reliable data to the ACS NSQIP. The Registered Nurse / RN Pediatrics accomplishes this through high quality data compilation, documentation and entry into the NS QIP database of all eligible surgeries for the hospital. The The Registered Nurse / RN Pediatrics works closely with the members of the Department of Surgery to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement. Other special projects may be identified. Committee work is a key component of this position.
