Position: Lab Assistant II – Full Time, Evenings (12PM–8:30PM)
Location: Abrazo Arrowhead Campus | 67th Ave & W. Union Hills Dr, Glendale, AZ

Are you detail-oriented, compassionate, and ready to make an impact in patient care? At Abrazo Arrowhead, we’re looking for a Lab Assistant II to join our evening team and help keep our laboratory running smoothly. Your work will directly support accurate diagnoses, timely treatments, and patient well-being.

What You’ll Do

  • Receive, register, and distribute specimens with accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures with a focus on comfort and specimen quality
  • Conduct CLIA-waived tests as assigned
  • Confirm patient identity and enter specimen data into the lab system
  • Ensure specimen integrity during collection, transport, and processing
  • Operate basic office and lab equipment to complete orders appropriately

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Completion of a phlebotomy program

Experience

  • Required: One year of laboratory experience and/or formal phlebotomy training
  • Preferred: Experience with laboratory information systems or related programs

Certifications

  • Preferred: National phlebotomy certification (ASCP, ANP, ASPT, or similar)

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to accuracy, safety, and compassionate patient care
