Registered Nurse – Cath Lab
Full Time | Day Shift
Location: Abrazo Arrowhead Campus – Glendale, AZ
Position Summary:
Abrazo Arrowhead Campus is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cath Lab team on a full-time, day shift schedule. This role provides professional, compassionate, and efficient nursing care within our Cath Lab procedural department. The RN will deliver age-specific, individualized care based on the procedure type and patient condition, while continuously evaluating nursing practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care during Cath Lab procedures with a focus on patient safety and procedural success.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive, quality care.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental safety guidelines and best practices.
- Document accurately and effectively in the electronic medical record system.
- Maintain composure and efficiency in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Required Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to function effectively in a procedural care setting.
- Proficient in basic computer skills and nursing documentation.
Preferred Background:
- Previous experience in CVICU, ICU, or Emergency Room settings is strongly preferred.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school
- Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of ICU experience if no prior Cath Lab experience
- Preferred Experience: 1 year of acute care experience; certification in a specialty area is a plus
- Licensure/Certifications Required:
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required (must be obtained upon completion of orientation if not already held)
- Preferred Certifications: BLS and ACLS
