Inpatient Wound Care RN – Day Shift
Abrazo Arrowhead Campus – 18700 N. 64th Drive Glendale, AZ 85308
Full-Time | Day Shift
Are you a compassionate RN with a passion for wound care and advanced healing techniques? Join Abrazo Arrowhead Campus as an Inpatient Wound Care Nurse, where you'll play a crucial role in helping patients heal, recover, and regain quality of life.
As part of our Wound Healing Center, you’ll be part of a specialized team that treats patients with persistent, non-healing wounds caused by diabetes, poor circulation, burns, surgery, or trauma. Our comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach includes cutting-edge treatments—like hyperbaric oxygen therapy—and personalized care plans tailored to each patient's unique healing journey.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct advanced wound assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Treat pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, ostomies, and more
- Apply best practices including debridement, negative pressure therapy, and infection control
- Educate patients and families on proper wound care and prevention
- Document care, progress, and outcomes in the EHR system
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the broader wound care team
What Sets You Apart:
- Skilled in wound staging, dressing selection, and infection prevention
- Excellent communicator and educator for both patients and peers
- Critical thinker with the ability to anticipate complications and adjust care accordingly
- Passion for helping complex patients heal with dignity and comfort
✅ Qualifications:
- Required: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school & AZ RN license
- Preferred: BSN
- Required: 1 year Wound and/or ostomy care training or experience
- Preferred: Wound-Ostomy Certification (WOCN) and ACLS
