Position Summary

Analysis, Indexing, Suspension, Physician Liaison, Birth Certificate, ROI, Transcription Support and other department support

SPECIAL SKILLS: Must have basic computer skills and knowledge. Must have good organizational skills. Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities 

  • Reviews and analyzes medical records for completeness as required by Regulatory agencies 
  • Compiling and processing birth certificates, Acknowledgement of Paternity timely and accurately for submission to the Department of Health  
  • Generates reports and maintains databases for communication with the medical staff regarding the deficiency management system as well as adherence to the medical staff medical records suspension policy Assist physicians with chart completion in a timely and professional manner 
  • Assists external and internal customers including hospital departments and physicians as well as their office staff 
  • Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Minimum requirements are a High School graduate or equivalent; RHIT preferred and 1+ years HIM experience or related field
