Lead Tech Electrophysiology Full Time Days Position Summary

Working lead. Coordinates the scheduling and efforts of the Cath Lab Technologists. Trains and Mentors staff. Lead Technician providing technical

and patient support and patient care. Communicates continuously with the physician about patient condition. Assist physician during invasive and

noninvasive procedures. Operates all equipment safetly and correctly. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains

supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiac Cath Laboratory team are met. Participates in perfomance

improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activites. Responsible for on-call procedures when indicated. In Absence of

Supervisor/Director, this position oversees the Cath Lab Techs to ensure that the unit is operating efficiently and effectively. Technician is

authorize to be in the presence of medications.

THE LEAD TECH ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.


MINIMUM EDUCATION: Completion of formal two-year radiologic technology training in AMA approved school which meets requirements for registry by the ARRT or equivalent on-the-job training including a minimum of four months orientation.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: One - three years experience in an acute health care Special Procedures setting or Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current Arizona Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-CV). Current BLS

REQUIRED COURSE(S) TRAINING: Must attend EKG, Hemodynamics, IABP classes within four months of hire.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: ACLS

SPECIAL SKILLS: Demonstrated critical thinking skills to be able to pass orientation.
